All about the texture

Since most of the clothes in my closet are either black or some other neutral color I usually end up putting more emphasis on the textures in an outfit rather than the patterns or colors.

I am usually drawn to a combination of something shiny (like leather) with something softer (like fur or lace).

This jacket I found at a secondhand store gives me another texture to play around with. It's a soft fabric that has lots of folds and crinkles that makes it really fun to wear. I've already tried pairing it with a leather jacket and latex leggings (above pics). I might even try wearing it with a more voluminous texture (like fur) at some point.

I think when it comes to texture when wearing all black is great because sometimes, you don't really get to see all the detailing that something in black has to offer.

Aww Starr lovafriend, you look fantastic as always. That new layering piece looks so neat. Probably perfect for traveling too since it doubles as warmth and you don't have to worry about wrinkles (ok I am random as f)

PS: Is your real name Starr, because I call you that, but I dont know...
PSS: Did you re-dye/touch your hair? It looks lighter in these photos

I love how you always look like you stepped out of a Rick Owens themed editorial. And great philosophy-- black on black with different textures. I can't get enough of lace & leather too.

I adore that outfit, especially the jacket. I think that outfit would look fab with some spike heels-like the sam edelman strap ones?- or some high docs.
You look fabulous.

I am a huge advocate of layering and you do it to perfection. Layering jackets = brilliant.

p.s how do you make your pictures so large?

You do all black texturing so well :) I am sad to say I lack texture in my closet greatly.

Jordan: Glad you found it <3

Something Picasso: Yes! I hate ironing. My last name IS Starr and yes I bleached my hair a little :P

myra: wow thank you

maverick: I agree. I hope I can find some when spring comes around.

charm: I think it just depends on the layout you use. I switched mine a while ago to allow for bigger pics.
