This is an older picture from when I was doing a little maxi-skirt experimenting. This is actually a top being worn as a skirt so I'm still looking for the real thing.
Anyway, I did some black friday shopping today. I bought:
1) Black faux-fur jacket (Finally!)
2) Another black leather jacket (skinnier sleeves = better)
Hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving (if applicable) :)

Ripped Up
Scarf: UO, Sweater: F21, Jacket: vintage, Jeans: Delia's, Boots: Payless
It's amazing how something as simple as cutting two slits into these jeans at the knees has made me want to wear them more than I have since I first bought them. I guess its the same thing with sheer stockings and t-shirts. This season, everything is better when it's a little ripped up.
Irina likes holes in her jeans too:
One day I want to be able to pull off the Givenchy chains like Lou:
p.s. I finally bought a new ring!

I LOVE YOUR BLOG
I'VE RECEIVED THE "I LOVE YOUR BLOG" AWARD FROM THE LOVELY VALENTINE! NOW, IT IS MY JOB TO PASS IT ON TO THE BLOGS I COULDN'T LIVE WITHOUT. I'VE CHOSEN CAMILLE (CHILDHOOD FLAMES), STARR (THE NEW BLACK), LENA (ELENITA), FILIPPA (GILLO FILIPPA), ERIKA (FASHION CHALET), LULU (LULU AND YOUR MOM), MILK, AND RUMI (FASHION TOAST). EACH OF THEM HAVE AMAZING PERSONAL STYLE AND ARE BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I just received the "I Love Your Blog" Award from Miss Melissa of the awesome blog Amarillo. Firstly, thank you for the mention next to all these amazing bloggers Melissa!
Secondly, I'd like to spread the love so I'll mention three of my "can't live without" blogs:
Tine of Under The Stares
(Gorgeous with the most amazing quality photos and warm-weather style. Looking at her blog is one of the reasons I'm hating the cold so much right now.)

Nita of Little Sneak Into My Life
(She's super sweet and kind of reminds of what Jodie Kidd would look like if she had Kate Moss' fashion sense.)

Everybody Is Ugly
Jacket: vintage, Shawl: vintage, Tank: AA, Sweater: F21, Leggings: UO, Boots: Payless
Scarf: UO, Tank: AA, Sweater: F21, Pants: ZARA, Boots: Payless
It's definitely gotten to that time of the year when I have to wear 4+ layers on a daily basis. Unfortunately, this also makes my style much more homogeneous because of the lack of pieces I like to layer together. You'll notice a lot of repeat pieces (like in the outfits above).
I need some chic winter style inspiration....
or maybe just a really warm coat.

A Little DC
Beanie: H&M, Jacket: vintage, Top: Bailey 44, Pants: Zara, Boots: Payless
Yes the infamous D.C. (dropped crotch) pants, as made popular in the blogging world by miss Lulu and in the mainstream by YSL etc.
I bought these pants a while ago but haven't had much motivation to wear them because I find leggings to be more flattering/warm. Recently though I've been wanting a change in silhouette (hence the previous mention of a black maxi skirt) and decided to pull out these pants as a sort of in between stage to hold me over until I can find the skirt.
I'd actually wear these more if they were in the right size and were tighter in the lower leg...Guess I'll just have to wait until H&M starts selling a kids' version.
A few ideas:

The Jacket
Jacket: vintage, Tee: UO, Leggings: UO, Beanie: H&M, Boots: Payless (lace-up)
Here is the debut of my new leather jacket.
I see so many possibilities for it and I've been wearing it non-stop for the past few days. It's really a relief for me that it fits because the last leather jacket I ordered on Ebay ended up being a bit tight in the shoulder.

I'll have to try wearing it with ripped stockings and plaid like Alice:
(minus the crop top because no one needs to see that lol)

Biker Jacket At Last
Scarf: UO, Button-down: ZARA, Sweater: F21, Leggings: AA, Boots: Payless
My outfit from a few days ago. I actually wore something similar today, so nothing new to post.
BUT I did come home today to a package containing the leather biker jacket I'd ordered on Ebay. It kind of feels like a void in my wardrobe has been filled.
Considering how much I wear my F21 leather jacket it's really nice to know I have another option if I want something a little tougher.
Here's the picture from the Ebay store I bought it from:
(unfortunately it's a little looser on me because I'm more 'fun-sized' than the model)

I'll have to do an outfit post with it a.s.a.p.

The Leopard
Jacket: vintage, Tee: UO, Jeans: Delia's, Boots: Payless
Just bought a bus ticket to NYC to meet up with my family for Thanksgiving. It should be fun even if it's just for a few days. I really need the break.
I'll leave you with a little Valentine leopard inspiration:

Some Leopard Fur and New Boots
Jacket: vintage, Tee: UO, Stockings: CVS, Boots: Payless
It's getting really frustrating having overcast day after overcast day. Makes it impossible to take decent pictures since I'm not invested enough to have some fancy lighting apparatus. lol.
Anyway, I've been on the search for a leopard faux-fur jacket since high school and I finally found one today at Buffalo Exchange for only $15! Funnily enough I was actually planning on searching for a faux-fur jacket today at some local vintage stores, but ended up going to the more "mainstream" shopping area (i.e. H&M, ZARA, UO, etc.) instead. As luck would have it, I stopped by BE first and found this jacket among a crowded rack of boxy tweed blazers and nylon rain jackets. I think it was fate.
I plan to wear it with black leggings and flat boots like Kate Moss here...
Or maybe with knee-highs and a studded belt like NANA...
Oh, I also now have a new addition to my boot collection:
For some reason Payless boots seem to really work with my feet.

Basics
Tank: AA, Jeans: Delia's, Boots: GUESS
I hope everyone (in the U.S.A.) voted today!
So this is my first entry into Chictopia's Back to Basics contest for November.
I've always admired girls (or boys!) who can wear only basics and still look amazing.
I mean its easy to say you're wearing basics while wearing an amazing Rick Owens leather jacket over a tee and an A. Wang skirt, but those kinds of basics would make anyone look good.
I'm more impressed by the girl who can wear a cheap t-shirt from Target and a pair of old torn up shorts or just a plain black sheath with no accessories and still look better than her friend decked out in head to toe Gucci.
Admittedly, someone like that was probably just born with that "it" quality. But I think it has a lot more to do with really knowing what works for you and your body than just being genetically gifted.

A Gothic Halloween
Here is my previously mentioned Gothic Lolita costume I wore over the weekend.
I am not one of those people who likes to put a ton of d.i.y. effort or money into her costumes, so this is comprised of items I already had in my closet. I'm wearing my lace H&M top, corset from a sex shop, chiffon F21 mini skirt, random knee-highs, and Payless boots.
Some guy at the party had a mini top hat that i was wearing for a little while. I couldn't see myself but I can imagine it made the outfit better.
