Solestruck

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Button-down: ZARA, Vest: vintage, Belt: ZARA, Leggings: AA

The amazing Danielle from Solestruck sent me the GUESS Maeve boots a week ago and they just arrived today. Now this may not be such a big deal for more established bloggers, but for me this offer came as a huge surprise. What makes this even more unbelievable/special for me is that (also unlike some more established bloggers) I couldn't afford these shoes on 'real life'.

So these will basically be my new "wear every day until you're sick of seeing them" boots.
Thank you solestruck <3 br="">
p.s. Promise to post a photo showing these boots a.s.a.p.

Can I have your jacket?

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Top: Bailey 44 (It's actually got a really cool cut which I haven't been able to show you properly), Sweater: F21, Skirt: vintage, Stockings: CVS, Boots: Colin Stuart

It's been so windy and rainy lately that I haven't felt motivated to take any outdoor outfit pictures. Consequently, since all I have is an old digital camera my pictures don't turn out so clear without natural light. Sorry about that.

I want this Junya jacket....
(wouldn't mind the pants either)

Also, I'm really just testing this out, but I thought I'd share one of my favorite videos (at the moment) to watch while getting ready in the morning. As pointed out earlier, you can see the VW ring I talked about in the previous post. I see a possible Halloween costume that no one will get?

Why so much rain?

Seriously, way too much rain today. It just makes me not want to step foot outside, especially since I need an umbrella like Rinko here.

Also I want to see The Brothers Bloom just for her...

Dark Lipstick + Black button-down

Button-down: ZARA, Shorts: vintage, Hat: vintage, Stockings: CVS, Boots: Payless

Finally found a black button-down that I'm satisfied with. The material is on the heavier side and it fits slim and long. The sleeves are a bit too big for me but I can just as easily roll them up or layer under a blazer/leather jacket.

I know I'm not supposed to be shopping right now, but I saw this while window shopping (I know, bad idea) and couldn't resist the sale.

Let me now change the topic to rings.
I don't have any at the moment that I regularly wear because I end up losing them. That being said, I also haven't found any that I really love at an affordable price.
My ideal ring at the moment would be something like Vivienne Westwood's Armor Ring. Anyone know of any cheaper alternatives??

Looking for some Inspiration

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Jacket: vintage, Cardigan: Banana Republic, Tank: AA, Leggings: AA, Boots: Payless

Going to classes every day sometimes makes me feel like it's not worth getting dressed up. I need some more leggings to slash up and make my life more inspiring.

Speaking of inspiring...doesn't Jen Brill look amazing here? Someone should tell her to start a fashion blog haha

Punk

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Feeling like dressing a little more 'punk' lately. Probably has something to do with the lack of sunlight and stress from midterms (they really snuck up on me this time).

Here I'm wearing my trusty faux-leather F21 jacket over my drapey black F21 sweater and tee. On the bottom half I have my Zara chain belt, vintage leather mini, thigh-high socks, and overworn Payless boots.

I really want a more motorcycle style leather jacket that isn't too boxy (and not the ubiquitous UO version). Something like this:

On a side note: I'm always looking for fashion-related T.V. shows and movies which is one reason I became so obsessed with The Rachel Zoe Project.
One of my favorite 'fashiony' movies is Kamikaze Girls.
It stars Kyoko Fukada and Anna Tsuchiya as a "Lolita" and "Yankee" girl (respectively), who become friends and have all sorts of little adventures together. I definitely recommend this movie to anyone remotely interested in fashion and looking for some inspiration. It's fun and of course Anna Tsuchiya is kind of amazing <3

Black Button-Down

Shirt: Old Navy, Tank: AA, Vest: vintage, Leggings: AA, Boots: vintage

Currently on the lookout for a black button-down to layer/wear with hats and leggings.

Whenever it starts getting cold I find myself wearing lots of button-down shirts mainly because they're comfortable and loose (making it easy to layer for added warmth). I've actually worn several black long sleeved t-shirts to shreds because I would wear them under everything during the winter.
I guess you could say that when it gets colder I start dressing more and more like a boy.

I'm also searching for a good sturdy pair of flat ankle boots for winter. I somehow seem to 'forget' every year that there will be snow and ice on the ground and that I won't feel like wearing heels every day.

What are you guys going to be wearing this winter?

Mood Fabric

Blazer: H&M, Button-down: GAP, Shirt: Bailey 44, Leggings: AA, Boots: Payless, Belt: ZARA

When I know I'm going to be getting up super early I like to plan what I'm going to wear the night before so I save as much time as possible for coffee/waking up.
I know in theory the process of getting dressed should really be more effortless, but I'd rather feel confident in what I'm wearing than reach for any old sweater and jeans. Its kind of nice having a little pile of clothes waiting for you in the morning when there are so many other things you have to worry about (like trying to keep your eyes open).

This is the outfit I came up with to wear to NY yesterday. It was comfortable and easy to put together, even though I was freezing until the sun came out.

Anniversary

Lace top: H&M, Chiffon Skirt: F21, Tights: HUE, Studded Shoes: vintage

It's my eleven month anniversary with the bf this Friday and I couldn't resist a little brainstorming about what I'm going to wear.

I'm thinking something feminine (mini skirt), but not too out of my comfort zone (black lace), yet still different enough from my everyday-wear to feel special (red tights). Just need to add a warm coat and I'm good!
